The Emergency Duty Team (EDT) are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced social worker to work shifts out of hours.

We are looking for a social worker with a high degree of experience, independence and self motivation to work as part of a small team.

The post holder will be expected to work on a rota basis to provide an emergency out of hour’s social work response to all client groups across Calderdale.

We are looking for Social workers who have experience of working in both Children and Adult services.

You will be a qualified social worker and an approved mental health professional, with demonstrable experience in a variety of statutory social work settings.

The post currently offers a hybrid way of working, at both Battinson Road, Halifax and also home working.

You will need to work independently and to a high standard with a minimum of supervision whilst on shift and have the confidence and ability to undertake complex assessments and make decisions appropriate to role whilst under pressure.
